NFL still reviewing Jarvis Landry alleged domestic incident

Minneapolis — It is possible that Jarvis Landry’s status with the NFL and the legal system may not be resolved before the season kicks off next Sunday.

“The matter remains under review,” an NFL spokesperson said Thursday morning. “We do not comment during an on-going review.”

Landry is under investigation for a domestic incident, and the Broward State Attorney’s Office has previously confirmed that it is looking into the allegation brought to them by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

According to the incident report, on April 1 at around 10:15 p.m. on the 900 block of SE 2nd Ave, Landry used his hands, fist, feet and teeth but no actual weapons.

The names of the alleged victim as well as Landry have been redacted from the report. The report indicates that a juvenile was involved in the incident but there are no details.

Landry’s girlfriend, Estrella Cerqueira, has stated she was not physically harmed and did not call police.
