Miami Dolphins release punter Matt Darr

Matt Darr was in Pro Bowl consideration during his two seasons with the Dolphins. But a rookie beat him out this preseason. (Allen Eyestone / The Palm Beach Post)

In 2015, Darr placed 30 punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line and was third in the NFL with 4,380 punting yards and a gross average of 47.6 yards per punt.
